The TSA launches new resident consultation
The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) has announced how it plans to regulate housing associations after consulting residents for their ideas through two rounds of the ‘National Conversation’. It is now carrying out a statutory consultation on the new framework, giving you another chance to air your views. The consultation is open until 5 February 2010 and the TSA wants to hear from all social housing residents.
The standards reflect what residents and landlords told the TSA during the National Conversation about what social landlords need to get right. Southern Housing Group will have to meet these new standards from April 2010. The emphasis of the new standards is very much focused on the relationship between landlords and residents at the local level, and ensuring that residents are more involved in shaping, influencing and monitoring the services they receive.
