Renting a home

We offer a range of rented housing options.

Social rent

For people who have been referred to us by a local authority. The majority of our housing falls into this category. Your first step in renting one of these homes is to apply to your local authority’s housing department.

Affordable rent

Affordable rent is a new tenure introduced by the government. The new tenure allows us to charge a rent of up to 80% of local market rent on new homes built as part of the Affordable Homes programme, and on some homes converted to Affordable Rent when they are empty.

Intermediate rent

This short or medium-term housing  is offered at below market rents, usually to key workers agreed with the local authority.

Your first step in renting one of these homes is to apply to the Homebuy agent for the area where you want to live.

Supported and sheltered housing

Accommodation that provides care and support for older people, disabled people and vulnerable people.
